Jailer Kelli Elliott has over 20 years of experience working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system. She has a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Murray State University. Prior to being elected Graves County Jailer, she worked at our area community mental health agency, privately owned substance abuse clinics, the Kentucky State Department of Corrections, and other area jails. She also taught psychology classes for Mid-Continent University, Southern New Hampshire University, and Summit University.
Elliott has many objectives while serving as Jailer: to ensure that a new facility is built to house Graves County inmates, to promote a culture of integrity, professionalism, and unity among staff at the Restricted Custody Center, to ensure inmates leaving the facility are provided opportunities to increase their life skills knowledge by participating in evidence-based cognitive restructuring classes, obtaining GEDs, learning jobs skills, and understanding what community resources are available upon their release from incarceration.
